Join leading thinkers from design,
design history and sociology to discuss the history and future of work in design. The event will begin with a short introduction
and presentation by Leah Armstrong titled Towards an Expanded History and Theory of Design
Work. A conversation between the panelists will then follow, loosely structured on the following topics: class and labour
histories of design, oral history and its value, disillusionment in the contemporary design profession, the designer as ‘tech
worker’, social responsibility, design thinking, management and organizational theory.
