ERASMUS+ Staff Mobility for Teaching (STA)

The ERASMUS+ Staff Mobility for Teaching (STA) programme promotes short-term teaching assignments at ERASMUS+ partner universities.
Travel to Conferences, Travel Insurances and Workshop-Fees CANNOT BE FUNDED by ERASMUS+!

Requirements:

• Minimum duration: 2 days
• Maximum duration: 3-5 days
• Teaching/scientific university staff - Full-time or part-time staff (for all employees of the University! 20hr)
• An employment contract that has existed for at least 3 months before the stay abroad and will last for at least six more months after your return.
• A minimum of 8 hours of teaching for a teaching stay of 2-5 days.
• Employment with the University of Applied Arts Vienna at date of application and throughout period of travel
• First-time participants will be given priority.
• During an Erasmus+ teaching stay, inclusion support is also available for staff with disabilities and/or chronic illnesses.

Application deadline: Application is possible at any time (not later than two months before the start of your proposed stay abroad). For Information and forms please contact the International Office.

ERASMUS+ Staff Mobility for Training (STT)

The ERASMUS+ Staff Training (STT) programme offers opportunities of acquiring knowledge and professional experience abroad for ALL employees of the Angewandte.
Travel to Conferences, Travel Insurances and Workshop-Fees CANNOT BE FUNDED by ERASMUS+!

Requirements:

• Minimum duration: 2 days
• Maximum duration: 3-5 days
• Full-time or part-time staff (for all employees of the University! 20hr)
• An employment contract that has existed for at least 3 months before the stay abroad and will last for at least six more months after your return.
• Approval by direct superior.
• Working programme (including purpose, objectives, proposed activities).
• First-time participants will be given priority.
• During an Erasmus+ training, inclusion support is also available for staff with disabilities and/or chronic illnesses.

Application deadline: Application is possible at any time (not later than two months before the start of your proposed stay abroad). For Information and forms please contact the International Office.

Swiss European Mobility Program (SEMP)

Similar to the ERASMUS+ program, the Swiss European Mobility Program (SEMP) offers teachers and staff the opportunity to teach and train at partner universities in Switzerland. The financial support for the SEMP program is handled entirely by the Swiss partner universities. Therefore, it is imperative to first consult with our partners in Switzerland.

Application deadline: Application is possible at any time (not later than two months before the start of your proposed stay abroad). For Information and forms please contact the International Office.

Exchanges to International Partner Universities (outside ERASMUS+ Program) - Teachers only (!)

The Angewandte maintains numerous agreements with international partner universities outside the ERASMUS+ programme, which enable you to teach and research abroad. This network is being continuously expanded in order to be able to offer a broad spectrum of international experience outside Europe.

Service from International Office:

• Establishing contacts with relevant institutions
• Support with research on academic departments / professors

Procedure:

• Co-operation must be artistically/academically relevant for the university
• Approval by the Rectorate
• Possible leave of absence / funding - agreement directly with the Rectorate and HR department
• These are NOT financed by the ERASMUS+ budget

Other travel allowances for artistic-scientific staff and general staff

• for training events that have not been arranged
• for accompanying staff on excursions (voluntary participation)
• for projects that are defined in the target agreements and financially covered and are financed from the respective funds of the organizational unit

Can be requested directly from the departments or the rectorate and are not managed by the International Office.
