the Accessibility Officer at the University of Applied Arts Vienna, and Michaela Joch from the Department of Education at
the University of Vienna discuss the implications of accessibility in the academic environment.
In
her dissertation, Michaela Joch examines the accessibility of universities for researchers with disabilities. She will present
key findings and offer insights into existing mechanisms of exclusion. What solutions are being discussed to create a more
inclusive academic environment?
The talk is aimed at researchers, diversity officers, decision-makers, and anyone
interested in promoting inclusion in academia.
Following the talk, she will speak with the University of Applied
Arts Vienna’s accessibility officer about specific challenges and best practices in everyday university life.
