21. May 2024
At the end of the academic year, the students
and graduates of the fashion department of Angewandte will present their work at the long-awaited annual fashion show, this
year for the first time under the creative direction of Craig Green. The renowned British designer took over as head of the
fashion department in October 2023 and teaches as a professor at the University of Vienna.
Fashion
thrives from its performance, and for the Angewandte's Modeklasse, the annual fashion show is the most important platform
for showcasing the talent of its highly talented students. At the first show under the creative guidance of Craig Green, all
attention will be focused on the students’ creative diversity and artistic experimentation. The guests can look forward to
an inspiring performance on the runway that pushes the boundaries of fashion and reveals a glimpse into the future of fashion.

Start:

The Modeklasse show has been a highlight in the Viennese fashion and design calendar since its inception
and gives students the opportunity to present their outfits in a professional setting. Since the early 1980s, the fashion
professorship has featured internationally successful designers such as Karl Lagerfeld, Jil Sander, Vivienne Westwood, Helmut
Lang, Raf Simons, Viktor&Rolf, Bernhard Wilhelm, Hussein Chalayan, Lucie & Luke Meier and Grace Wales Bonner.
In
its four-year Fashion Design program, the Angewandte offers an individual education that enables students to develop their
creative potential and create their own signature style. Contemporary and visionary collections are designed and produced
at the highest level of artistry and craftsmanship. The Angewandte is proud of the success of its graduates, who go on to
achieve national and international success.
