NAHR
Italy and California 2026: This call for proposals seeks ideas that address our environmental problems while revealing the
histories, structures, and transformations of minerals.
MINERALS -
Our (in)organic Roots
Our (in)organic roots finds its deep meaning in the prolific nature of minerals as
scaffolders to all living and non-living matter. Minerals are at the heart of numerous ecological, cultural, and technological
processes: from the life-sustaining mineral salts within our bodies, to the crafting of our landscapes, the precious gems
symbolizing wealth and power, and the rare earth metals which govern computer processing power.
About
the programmeNature, Art & Habitat Residency is an ECO-Laboratory of Multidisciplinary Practice located
in Taleggio Valley (Bergamo), Italy. It is a summer program (and Spring/Fall in Santa Ynez, California) that aims to unfold
and display a sensitive type of culture that relates to nature as a source of inspiration and a measure of available resources.
The ultimate goal of NAHR is to unveil intimate links among all living organisms for more resilient development in which humans
and nature are shown to coexist.
All Residencies are partially subsidized.
NAHR_June and NAHR_CA
offer funded accommodation and Workshop_IT.
Fellows are responsible for travel expenses, food and costs associated
with the production and display of the artifact. Please read web site pages for all details.
